Programs
Every room plays most of the day. What changes with age is how long a stretch of play runs and how big the projects get.

The rooms
Each room has its own teacher, its own shelves and the same plain rule: children choose, and an adult plays alongside.

A room of its own for 2-year-olds, with a short, steady rhythm: play, snack, the yard, a story and a rest after lunch. Teachers sit on the floor and name what children do.

Rest after lunch on the school day
Teachers help with the toilet

Long stretches of free play with blocks, dress-up, a play kitchen and a sand table, then a short group time and the yard. Children start to play together and to settle small disagreements with a teacher close by.
A group time each day
Quiet time after lunch
Children use the toilet on their own

Bigger projects that run over several days: a block city, a puppet show, a garden bed. Teachers help children plan what they want to make, then step back and let them build it.

Time in the yard each day
